Oregon Coast
Story Bits #3
“For me, I want the album to be a form of escapism. As mentioned before, a journey to another place. Each song has it’s own mood, some are peaceful like Elk Creek, some are uplifting like PCH, some are melancholic like Multnomah Falls and some are a bit experimental like Astoria. Each song has its own arc and its own story to tell.
Hopefully, listeners are willing to bring this album into their homes, their cars, their headphones, and enjoy it as a whole. Hopefully, it can be like a window into another place, a connection to nature, a sense of comfort, or at the very least, make them nod their head.
I’ve seen lo-fi hip hop evolve so much over the last few years. It’s come a long way from its roots. We tried to push the bounds a bit with the ‘lo-fi hip hop’ style on this album. As a fan of the genre, I feel like we did something special here. Time will tell if I am right or not. Hopefully, we push the ball a little forward with these songs and inspire other producers in some way.”
